Basically, you play money in a Casino and they give you a percentage of the money you played back in a form of free play. For example, John Williams plays $1,000 coin in. He gets a Mailer offer for $100 in free play.

I assumed as much but wanted to check. Sadly the machines in our casinos over here just have pretty dumb and crap games where there's no positive ev possible. As far as I know anyway as I never really look at them. Perhaps I should.

It can be sweet if your Casino gives free play on the COIN IN system and not the LOSSES system. Hialeah and Gulfstream gives free play on the coin in system which means even if you won you still get free play. Also you get like $10 free play on Flamingo and Spin To Win in Hialeah after like $25/$50 coin in. Casino Miami only gives some free play if you LOSE or gives $5 free play after $100 coin in, no bueno....People have been boycotting Casino Miami in DROVES. And deservedly so whereas Hialeah and Gulfstream are getting more and more Customers.

So is it ever profitable to engage in this "machine playing"? The only thing I can think of is if it becomes profitable in the sense that you get so many match plays or free plays that the value greatly offsets your losses.
