    relevance of an index

How to check the relevance of one index generated by CVindex ?
By standard simulation, how many hands to make it meaningful ?

And how to save Excel sheet from CVData ?
The launch of Excel from CVData does not work because of Office 365 for which I do not have the license.

Or how to force CVData to launch the good program version ?

Depends on the frequency of hands at that index. It can be from one billion to over 100 billion. That's why full simulation isn't a useful method of finding indices.

Where are you exporting to Excel and what message do you get? CV uses the Windows file associations to find Excel. If the associations aren't correct, it can't find it.

To find indices, I use CVindex
But to know if indice is useful, I run CVData, launch menu "Hands" -> "Win Rate" and compare to sim of BS.
It's where I run the menu "excel"

For the extensions as ".xls" or ".xlsx" Windows run my old Office 2007 without problem.

Just looked at the code. I don't use the file association. I do a direct object interface to Excel. Works for me. Alternatively, you can use the built-in CVSpread alternative to Excel. That's what I used to create all the charts in my book. Click Unlock and it will appear. Click column heads and it will copy columns. You can also copy to Excel from there or save as an Excel or CSV file from CVSpread that Excel can open.

It also worked for me until a Windows update that has installed Office 365 demo
    Thanks for the workaround.

    The soluton was simple.
I uninstalled Office 2007 and installed Office 2019 which automatically installed a new Office 365 with a uninstaller program. I then uninstalled Office 2019 and Office 365 and reinstalled Office 2007. Everything is fine.
