Post Monaco Grand Prix Potential for Comp/General Info?

    Greetings all,

Currently on a world tour. It's been a close friend's lifelong dream to go to the Monaco Grand Prix, so I'll probably end up making it happen in 2020, one way or another. Obviously, if there were to be a way to hustle a comp scenario for this, so much the better, but I have absolutely no experience with Monaco. If anyone could let me know if there were to be a way to make this happen, I'd be more than happy to do the horse trader bit and exchange some info that might be useful to you. Email is [email protected]

Alternatively, if anyone has actually been to the Monaco Grand Prix and could just describe the experience and recommend what package to buy/hotel to stay at, that would be very helpful as well. I'm fine with paying more if there is good value, but if the high-end package isn't much better than the mid-level, I'd be hard pressed to justify the additional expense to myself.

    Thanks for all useful information.

It is not worth the money at all if you need to pay for either tickets or a hotel room, but getting it comped, it is the best comp there is!
In my experience you better go there early during the week, play BIG and let them know that you would like to come for the GP. The casino has a quota that they will need to fill up. You never know, if they need you.
Monaco is indeed special, but I got to say I have seen it too many times now. The racing itself is rather boring. It is all about the nightlife, which is good and expensive, though it got more competition over the years.

I very much appreciate the response. Tbh, I have no interest whatsoever in racing. I'm a MMA guy myself. This is solely for my friend's benefit.

I'm fine playing most stakes. About how much action do you think would be sufficient? Do they have a host system similar to the US? Would contacting someone beforehand be useful?

The scary part about Monaco is that they have shoe games with penetrations of 5 out of 6, but rules are not too good. If you do not want to lose on the actual play itself, you will have to play with a big enough spread that at the same time will make it obvious that you are a counter. Simply do not play table minimum at the start of a shoe and adjust your betting size moderately as count goes up or down, you will not play a winning game, but given the generous comps it is well worth the minimal table loss.

If you play for two hours a day on an average bet size of 300 Euros you should be able to get all comped already.

In recent years they have been developing a host system similar to the USA, but I would not play it that way. Really just go there and pretend that you are the pass by tourist.
