    Laughlin to Vegas by Flixbus

I'm trying to figure out a cheap way to get to Vegas. It appears my best bet would be to take the Don Laughlin's charter to Riverside casino, and then take some shuttle bus to Vegas. There are several of them out there, but they are all quite expensive. There is even a Greyhound that goes to Bullhead City.

However, it appears the cheapest is this Flixbus. Never heard of them before. They are saying $10 cost from Laughlin to Vegas. I don't know how they can offer a price so cheap. Heck, it costs at least $10 in gas just to drive from Laughlin to Vegas. Anyway, has anybody had any experience with them?

Anyway, I'm out of luck if I want to fly out of the U.P. The last charter from the U.P. was sold out in 2 days. Very hard to get a comped flight when desirable dates and times are available. I had to wait 45 minutes on hold before I could get thru and then they were all sold out. Damn website says available, why don't they keep that web site up to date.

LOL...Vegas is probably the cheapest city to fly into in the whole country!!! How small is your bankroll Midwest?
I guess you could take a bus to Chicago for the Amtrack, then train to Santa Fe, then hitchhike or walk across the Rocky Mountains to Vegas?

Flying into Laughlin is free. At least the last time I went it was. Flying into Vegas will cost around $500 to $600. A week trip to Vegas will cost me from $1,500 to $2,000. I'm designing a trip to Laughlin and Vegas that will cost less than $200. By the way, my last trip to Laughlin only cost me $30.

By the way, I have no problem with putting together a six figure bankroll if I wanted to.

What part of the U.P. are you originating? Have you looked at flights out of Appleton, WI?

Yes, I know Allegiant offers cheap flights out of Appleton WI. It is almost a 500 mile driving round trip for me. (500 x .58 = $290. Driving Cost) If I had to drive that far I would choose Wendover. Besides a lot of folks don't think Allegiant is the safest airline in the world. I have already flown out of Appleton, but it was to Wendover, not Las Vegas.

That’s a bit far. You must be up there near Marquette or something. Has Allegiant had a lot of fatalities? I know someone got killed on Southwest not too long ago.

Here is a list of the airlines that never had a fatal plane crash. Notice that Allegiant and Frontier made the list even though 21forme likes to knock these airlines. However, I will agree with 21forme that a lot of folks don't feel they are the safest airlines after reading some of the reviews.

At one time Allegiant was the charter airline serving Wendover. I did fly with them quite a few times and never a serious problem except once they had a delay due to troubles. I head some stories that I was not to pleased with. By the way, Swift Air now serves the charter flights to Wendover.

    Don't forget Spirit.

It's more than safety. Its level of service and business model - nickel and diming, poor on-time record, etc.

A lot of folks don’t feel you should hit soft 18 against a dealer 10 because you already have 18 and that you should never take insurance unless it’s even money. Do you take their word for it? It sounds to me like you and 21forme are aviation ploppies.

I'm kind of concerned when Allegiant pilots won't even let their families fly on the airline. However, on the positive side Allegiant has updated all of their planes to Airbus and no longer have those MD-80 planes.

You seem very familiar with Appleton WI. Do you live in the area?
