    Laughlin to Vegas by Flixbus

I'm trying to figure out a cheap way to get to Vegas. It appears my best bet would be to take the Don Laughlin's charter to Riverside casino, and then take some shuttle bus to Vegas. There are several of them out there, but they are all quite expensive. There is even a Greyhound that goes to Bullhead City.

However, it appears the cheapest is this Flixbus. Never heard of them before. They are saying $10 cost from Laughlin to Vegas. I don't know how they can offer a price so cheap. Heck, it costs at least $10 in gas just to drive from Laughlin to Vegas. Anyway, has anybody had any experience with them?

Anyway, I'm out of luck if I want to fly out of the U.P. The last charter from the U.P. was sold out in 2 days. Very hard to get a comped flight when desirable dates and times are available. I had to wait 45 minutes on hold before I could get thru and then they were all sold out. Damn website says available, why don't they keep that web site up to date.

LOL...Vegas is probably the cheapest city to fly into in the whole country!!! How small is your bankroll Midwest?
I guess you could take a bus to Chicago for the Amtrack, then train to Santa Fe, then hitchhike or walk across the Rocky Mountains to Vegas?

Flying into Laughlin is free. At least the last time I went it was. Flying into Vegas will cost around $500 to $600. A week trip to Vegas will cost me from $1,500 to $2,000. I'm designing a trip to Laughlin and Vegas that will cost less than $200. By the way, my last trip to Laughlin only cost me $30.

By the way, I have no problem with putting together a six figure bankroll if I wanted to.

I think you're pretty off base here. I think MWP would be considered wealthy if you look at his age and net worth. Don't we all know someone like MWP? Old, plenty of money, total cheapskate?

Read his posts sometime, going way back. MWP red chips because of his relationship with money, not because he can't afford it.

(On my scale, MWP is wealthy but Don is filthy rich. All those years running the desk at MS? Yeah that's real dough. MWP probably wears shoes until there are holes in them.)

Politics aside, younger generations of people could learn plenty from someone like Midwest Player.

One of my daughters in law is very smart and very frugal. I appreciate her, as my son does.

I see MWP as a nerd, but a nice decent nerd raised at a time when watching pennies was important. He’s clearly highly organized and bright. Criticize his game, fine, but not the man.

He also clearly loves that heavy snow shovelling lousy weather, short summer, long winter, lonely highways filled with piss stops etc. Etc. That is home to him.

Nah, MWP has more money. Don had to write a book to support himself.

Yeah I agree, MWP probably is fairly wealthy, that's why it seems weird to me he has never raised his stakes. I meant no offense to him, he seems like a good guy, although he can be frustrating.
So MWP...if you have no "definitive bankroll" then how do you determine your ROR etc? Just curious. I think you stated that if your losses ever approached 10k then you would quit? I guess red chips make sense then. Good variance!

Then why does someone who is too old to make a BJ trip still live where he does AND still shovel his own roof?

My BR is way larger than any BJ play I would make. ROR is meaningless to me. I'm sure others are the same.

He can do what he wants of course and owes no one an explanation (except maybe his poor wife), but you've asked a dozen times why he lives there and there's been no answer. Acceptable answers are "my kids are here", "I love it here", and a number of things. Yet it's silence! Oh wait, maybe it's his wife that loves it and he's dutifully staying in the UP.
