Honestly I don't really know how people play 6 deck games etiher. Unless you are playing green/black then the EV is just so small.
And I never see ploppies spreading like even say 1-10...so I really have no idea how people make money on 6 deck ?
I don't really think you can, or at least have any longevity if you properly spread. The main casino I go to is about 40 minutes from me. It's a nice relaxing atmosphere
with a senior citizen crowd. The six deck shoe game they offer is probably around -0.55 at the start of the shoe. The nice thing is they offer late surrender which I rarely ever see anywhere.
I decided to try and put in more hours and continue to spread weak to the point I'm playing break even or slightly -EV. My goal isn't to make money now, it's to establish a training ground
and not play to where I wear out my welcome. I take this game very seriously and plan on making a big run at it. I think it would be silly to show my colors playing in a game spreading
peanut chips. I'd rather play at a slight loss to get longevity and be able practice shuffle tracking / ace sequencing / hole carding in a live environment. Even though I'd be playing a slight losing
game with such a weak spread, I look at it as the cost of education.

The 6 deck game is where you can learn to hide a big spread.

In any event, knowingly playing an essentially break even game - looking at it as a tuition expense while learning other skills - as long as you can afford it - is smart.

And as far as being able to afford it, no one takes that approach unless they can afford it.

Exactly what the sims say. This is why the tolerant lousy pen game is beatable. And it’s tolerant because of the adjacent grave yard of poorly funded counters.
