    Hole card cover plays

What cover plays should be taken when hole carding? Always standing on 17 i would guess. Should hands like 44 v T be splitting?

If you don't think anybody is gonna burn it then don't be overly aggressive and make the pit think something is wrong. BE aggressive only on the not so obvious hands perhaps. it depends , especially with this play.

Be less aggressive when the critter is nearby, or if the casino has a reputation for competent active surveillance.

Well ask yourself this. Are you gonna play there all the time? Or are you playing in passing?
