    6:5 Electronic BJ Proliferation

Coming to a casino near you. 2 of my local shops have torn out large sections of tables to install electronic BJ areas. Players sit at individual displays and play against one human dealer whose hand is projected on a large overhead screen. Needless to say it is CSM and 6:5. The attraction to ploppies seems to be the low min bet ($5) and multiple side bets and funky rules.

Anyone else seen this trend? Resistance is futile.

Many places putting in stadium gaming rather than offer $5-$10 normal bj tables. Pretty much nationwide. Anecdotally I’d say actually slightly less likely to be 6/5 than a $5-$10 table in normal pits. Sometimes shoe, sometimes csm, always glacial game speed.

I saw a $1-$250 game where blackjack paid 1-1. Believe it or not, people were playing it!

Was it at the Hooter's Hotel and Casino?

Because their $1 game pays 1:1, but if you're a high roller betting $5 or more on that table, it pays 6:5!

I know a place that has two 1:1 $5 min tables, with 3:2 $5 min next to them, and yep there’s people playing every time

Pauma and Redhawk both have 1:1 bj tables at $3-$5 min.

Sadly it's the fuckwits like those accepting 6:5 or 1:1 that are screwing up the world in every sphere of life. It's the reason most TV and cinema is shit. The fuckwits of the world can't discriminate between quality and crap and those with a brain have to pay the price. Perhaps eugenics isn't such a bad idea

I can't say it's a trend but I saw it for the first time last month. And nearly no one was playing it. I think those installing it are resisting what gamblers want and will lose in the end. The old school whales want physical cards they can handle. This isn't the blackjack they've been playing for 20, 30, 40+ years. And this isn't an area you successfully force such radical change in.

It came to one of my local which is part of CEC chain but fortunately after few weeks they took it down, I do not care to find out why.
