Double down probability on dealer's ace at Evolution Live casino (online)

Usually you would never double down when the dealer has an Ace. But on Evolution live casino, there is another situation.
The second dealer card is already scanned and placed upside down on the table. After the BJ insurance option has expired (and if it is NOT black Jack), the game will continue and you know at this point, that the second dealer card is definitely not a face card.
This might influence the double down decission and it might be an advantage to double down when you have an 11 or even with an 10?
I would appreciate any thoughts, if anybody has already re-calcultated the probability advantage for this case.

Do you only play 1 hand, or is the deck played out,
Both 10 and 11 are valid doubles against dealer ace, depending on true count. Doubling with 10 is EV maximizing at true 4, and 11 at true 3. (Hi lo or halves)

How is this different than in a regular BJ game, when insurance is offered and the dealer doesn't have BJ?

It sounds like a regular (not ENHC) game, right?

It is a 6 or 8 deck stock, cutting card at half, but no counting involved.
I will play continiously, not just 1 hand.

If you don’t count, don’t double.

    Also depends if it's S17 or H17.

What may seem confusing is that this place’s online blackjack is usually ENHC, but they offer insurance and check for blackjack before play when there is an ace up.

Basic strategy for S17 says hit 11vA and for H17 to double 11vA. Don’t double 10vA for either

Yes, it is correct, regular game, not ENHC.
For my understanding if the dealer has not a BJ, you should hit on 10, but double on 11.

Note : some live dealer games are ENHC / Peek hybrids, ENHC for the ten and peek for the ace (ENHC10). S17 is the industry standard for live dealer games, so in this case you would probably want to double your 11 v A at a mildly positive true count (+1 for hi lo).

Basic strategy is to hit, not double , 11 v A in a game where the dealer stands on soft seventeen.
