I got the figures from the link I posted. However, anyway you look at it, Hurley WI has a very interesting and naughty history. Here is an article from 1942 about the state doing some house cleaning in Hurley.

I've been to a lot of these places. Of course, Lac du Flambeau and Hayward have casinos so I've been to both these places not too long ago. I can't remember for sure if I've been to Manitowish Waters, but think I might have been there on a off the beaten path trip to Lake of the Torches casino.

I recently had some business in Marathon City Wi and was able to hit a couple tribal casino on the way there and another one near there. I am a very good navigator by landmarks, the north star etc... but thankful for a good gps this time everything looks the same in the forest and cell phone service is sketchy out there. I don't know how you could get more scenic than by taking the most direct route to either one.

Golden Belt Scenic Highway, Skyline Drive, Rampart Range Rd. Better ask the locals about the condition of Rampart Range Road. I have not personally been on it since the late 80's. It was paved then, but if it hasn't been maintained it would be difficult to turn around and go back if you chicken out. It is not for a faint of heart driver, and plan a half day at the very least for the 65 mile drive.

Yes they are, they have a point a and b. My mistake though Rampart Range is not paved or wasn't last time I was on it. The road you should check on is Skyline Drive it was paved and last I heard it was in need of repair but that was years ago. Also look at Phantom Canyon rd, and Teller rd 1. Any of those roads you should ask the locals as they aren't a touristy type of activity more of a local and bicycle rider. My folks lived between Cripple Creek and Colorado Springs for about 15 years is how I know about these roads.
