My 1st "back off", what to do...

New here but anyhow, For the 1st time I got told by some suit guy that I could never play blackjack again at a Hollywood after losing around $3k in 1 shoe & 1/4, he made me get up grab my chips & cash out. I have been to plenty of Hollywoods across the Midwest and in total I am up a bit since 2013. Funny thing is I got crushed for just 2 weeks before at the same Hollywood and just wonder a couple things. Why would they "back me off" while I'm getting my 2nd ass kicking & the guy called me a "card counter" and "advantage player". So am I not ever to try and play blackjack there again? What about their other locations across the midwest? Do you think I am now on some list that all casinos see and I'm screwed? So crazy being I was losing/donating like crazy.

Never been booted before so just looking for people opinions on what I can/should/can't do etc. I have 3 casino trips planned out for this week but I don't want to waste my time as 2 of them are Hollywoods.

    Thanks,

    JK

You are likely toast there. If you play at other places anonymously, play short sessions, you could get away most places. The question is whether you can play short sessions of an hour or less. It also depends on what level better you are.

First, this post has too much specific information. I'd edit it.

    We're you playing rated?

If YES, HW flyers. You are probably hot at every HW in the area. Stay away for a good while, then play anonymously. They have your name and your picture.

If no, stay away for a while, then keep it short. They only have your picture and no name.

FWIW, if you are getting the tap don't cash your chips. The best cameras are at the cage. Just leave, and take care of them later.

You are pretty lucky that they let you play until your accumulated winning reaching $100K. I have known some AP being told never play BJ again just reaching 5K.

RCJH ... I edited it down, hopefully enough ... Anyhow, yes I was playing rated since I always got my room, food, free bets, sports & concert tickets etc a couple times a week there and I was always known to take a good sum of cash and even have an open credit line with them if needed.

The "suit" said I could stay and play anything I wanted except for BJ. I wondered why he wouldn't flat bet me 1st or any other options, especially while getting crushed.

I have no problem staying away since I have another option to 2 somewhat locally but I didn't know if this meant all HWs or not. My host was "stunned" the next day and told me nothing he could do and go to other casinos for BJ.

I thought about not cashing in at the cage after I already cashed in with cameras all in my face but they know me anyhow going there 2-3x a week so I don't know if that matters.

Maybe if I hit up other HWs and don't play 2 $100 hands in high limits with a 1:5 spread I'd be alright but playing smaller is just so time consuming and playing with clueless gamblers sucks.

Well, I guess I'm done with HW unless I play another game which I never have before, only BJ. I wonder of they count Spanish 21 as BJ? I've never looked into it but I assume some bogus rules etc.

Dumb newbie question...is there anyway to private message a user on this site that I am not seeing by chance?

Enough questions for now...Thanks for the info so far!

To get private messaging you have to sign up for the paid subscription which costs $36 a year.

PS. I rejected your friend request simply because I do not know you, and you haven't established yourself with posts on this site yet. It is nothing personal.

He means you should not mention the name of the casino. But I always think it is too cautious. What have been do is done. You really can't do anything. Just avoid the casino and its sister properties. Meanwhile you serve the public right by telling which casino is a sweat shop. (But in this case it is not. They let you win $100K+.) I think it was a norm that casinos back off AP reaching $100K or $150K threshold before year 2000. But nowadays it could be 5K or 10K.

NP Midwest Player ... I understand you ... I'm gonna linger around for a few weeks and if I'm getting value outta the site I'll pay for the membership.

BJGenius007 ... I guess what I don't get is I have always played "big" at BJ in every casino. I guess I really shouldn't get into the amounts I play but I will say I have plenty in front $ accounts at a few shops and they will set me up with my own table if I request it etc and I've never had any heat. Hell, I've won tons & tons more at 3 other casinos and all they do is send me stuff to try to get me back and they have hosts offer all kinds of stuff to come play.

I guess I'll stick to those that take care of me and act like HW is gone.

Thanks for some of the explanations guys...much appreciated.

That is what OP wrote until someone advised him to edit down. So he changed "100K+" to "a little bit". Maybe 100K is a little bit to him but to most people it is quite a lot.

    Color me certain
I assure the OP that he is 'cooked.'
    HW is an evil entity.
All the more so, as he claims to
    have been a hotshot black-chipper.

Most folks I know that have gotten backed off came after a loss. They were reviewing previous play and knew you were counting. They opted to let you play and lose before tapping you. They watched your spread while you were losing and it confirmed what they thought......counter.

Spanish 21 is not a roulette variant.
