Comments to other APs who appraoch "your" table?

    First-come / first-serve, right? Right.

Ive twice made other APs who sit down at a table I'm already playing. At my local stores it can be tough to find seats at desirable tables, so I don't like to leave them when I get them. Might as well get in my car and drive home. As such I protect my territory like a llama in heat.

You ever make coded statements or otherwise alert them that there's only room for one sheriff in your town, or at least let them know you're playing an AP game in hopes of shooing them away?

Why would it bother you if another AP sat down at your table - as opposed to some ploppy?

Yea there was this AP calling himself "Nick" around where I play. I made him as soon as he bought in for way more than the regulars do there and started wonging out constantly throughout a table he had just sat down at.

Multiple times he followed me around the store. I'm not super territorial because sometimes there's not many tables around. But we cant just sit there and rise and drop our bets in sync so I try to avoid playing around him. He doesn't return the favor. Eventually I gave up being conscientious and just started using him to back count a second table for me. This guy even corrected one dealer when they were about to mispay me in my favor.

Other APs can be jerks. The cloud of negative variance that's been following me around. rubbed off on him too that night. Karma.

Wrong. Always avoid other APs. If they sit at your table, you leave. If you sit at their table, you leave. If you even suspect they are counting, you don't spread or make index plays, verify they are APs by watching their play, and then avoid them. They should not be able to observe that you are counting.

You will be both raising and lowering your bets at the same time. It's easier to notice that. Hence, it's better to never have two APs at a table for longevity.

Yes, but sometimes it’s a kick when he gets backed off, you don’t. You are playing a DD game with a 1-5 spread and this guy joins in, starts of $25, next bet at slightly positive is $100 (he lost), it’s TC2 and he puts $300 and wins. I see the pit guy get on the phone, he lasts one shoe and then he is asked to step away, soon he is escorted out. Chuckle, chuckle.

Assuming the pit approves of your play by way of prior public announcement, simply revert to basic, with low low spread while your new table mate is evaluated.

If I was the decision maker on who could or could not play, the most important factor, known or not known to me, would be the strength of your bankroll - could you withstand a bout of negative variance. Having said that, stores don’t really like shot takers, which may have described your new found friend.

That just cinfirms how weak your game is. Chuckle, chuckle.

21forme, in case you haven’t read any of Arnold Synder’s books, I’d argue this shows the strength of Zee’s game. Zee is able to play and “get away with it”. Anybody can play and get thrown out quickly. That takes no talent.

Btw, did you attend one of the BJA Bootcamps? This is their strategy. Play with no cover and expect the backoff and then rinse and repeat at the next casino.

Of course he gets “away with it”.

He is self confessed to poor spreads, bad ramping, frightened to put the money out, ignores or does not know correct index play, avoids the correct play as in doubles and splits if it means putting more max bets on the table, leaves high count shoes in case it erodes profits - plus I’m sure they’re are also second class habits as part of his playing arsenal.

I now wait, with baited breath, for your defence of the irrational and substandard Zeeish behaviours.

Normally I don't see your posts, as you're on my ignore list (as is Zee), but when somebody else quotes it (you owe me, Bosox ), I do see it. So I'll respond this one time.

Yes, I've read Synder's books, a long time ago.

No, I've never attended a BJA boot camp. I've been doing this a long time and have no need to. I once met Colin at a BJ table, purely by accident. He quickly recognized my play as that of an AP and promptly moved to another table, as "AP etiquette" dictates.

Freightman summed it up well, so no need for me to add anything further regarding your errant analysis. Unlike Freightman, I am not waiting with bated breath for your reply nor the subsequent trolling you will surely provide.
