    the bottom line is you either correctly believe in the math behind card counting or you don't
    if you have a 3% edge for example at a certain count and make a 300 dollar bet you're winning 9 dollars regardless of what happens in the hand.it's really that simple.math is the reason blackjack is beatable. you can't try and cheat the math so to speak and not reduce your profit.

    another reason to up your bet when you should is because if on the next hand the count keeps rising you're going to want to bet bigger.

    say you should be betting 50 but stuck with the 25. the count goes up which now calls for a hundred dollar bet. it's really bad to just 4x your bet in one hand.
    if you time and time again just min bet when you only have a slight edge, it makes it that more obvious you're counting when you have a big edge.
