    First, I think having only 8 max bets is insufficient. You are too likely to bust out, or reach a point where you shouldn't place the next wager because you won't be able to cover all doubles and splits. Secondly, I think maxing out with $50 or $60 at TC +4 or +5 is fine for a 5k bank playing only one hand.
