    $NaN error in Android app

    Norm et al:

I just noticed today that I am getting "$NaN" in my bankroll display area on my Android app.

I am running Android version 6.0.1 on a Galaxy S7.

Attached is a screenshot. Let me know if you need more details to troubleshoot.

    Thanks,
    Chad

First, make certain you have the latest Samsung Android update. Samsung makes great looking hardware (not counting the ones that catch fire), but they make constant errors in their software. Basically, they shove hardware and software out the door to beat everyone else in the market -- but don't adequately test.

If that doesn't work, e-mail me ([email protected]) with the app release number (on the home page), and any details you can provide. But, no one else has reported this.

I've recently started getting the same error when I play. It seems to randomly happen after getting a blackjack. I'm on a Nexus 6P, Android version 7.1.2, BV-G version 1.2.4

I've also got it on the Android. And then bankroll just goes into negative.

I put up an update. I can't test it because I'm unable to make it fail. But, I simplified the related code. V1.2.5.

You just lost a hand? That's never happened. What is the device?

E-mail me at [email protected]. Samsung has serious problems with bugs. I guess I have to buy one to find workarounds.

dont know if you solved the bug, but i suspect there is a logic hole in the app. NaN stands for "not a number"..... for example the square root of -1 = NaN

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...-does-nan-mean

so there must have been some statements or methods that lost their way, before setting the text inside the view. calling an un initialized variable for a calculation returns NaN.

    example

int x; // variable x declare d but with no value

    System.out.print(x *2); // Prints NaN

You are responding to a two year old post. Everyone knows what NaN is. Samsung fixed the bug.
