    CV vs real life

    Lets apply the Law of Large Numbers to both real life play and CV. All decisions are the same, everything identical. Sample size is trillions (in theory). Will my EV roughly correlate on CV to what I will experience in real life as evidenced by a program such as CVCX.

    "Real Life" is by definition the "short term" It correlates to the long term;
    but BJ players are painfully aware of extreme variance, where your results
    can be Far Far better or worse than what is expected. We anticipate winning
    but pay no heed to the reality that we may lose. This is pretty easy to see
    in "real life" A good example of this is when you are playing very well in
    accordance with your preferred count and still lose hour after hour - while
    the drunken tourists, who have you sandwiched between them, can do no
    wrong, while your pockets are being slowly emptied. LOL

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
