Now that’s funny. It even had that shaky camera feel.

I use google sheets with a few formulas already made. I can update it from my phone while waiting in the cage line to cash house. I add in the date, amount +/- for the day, hours played and location. Formulas calculate lifetime +/-, hourly +/-, and populate two graphs. Helps to stomach the negative variance days to see where you are overall.

What games do you play mostly 6D, 2D?
    What's your usual spread?
    Is this just pure counting?

I don't believe ANYONE wins 71% of their sessions, unless its a smallish number of sessions. It's like someone saying they are a 70% sports bettor. It doesn't exist.

Sigh. Would it be possible to short-circuit this utterly useless discussion before it grows to 250 posts?

"Sessions" are in the eye of the player. They can be as short as ten minutes or as long as ten hours. Every player defines what he or she personally calls a "session" differently. See BJA3, bottom of page 21 for more on the topic.)

If your strategy is to play a double-up progression, and quit as soon as you get ahead one unit, defining that as a "session," you can win close to 100% of your "sessions" ... until the fatal, last one, when you go bankrupt!

So can everyone please do us a favor and stop talking about what percentage of your sessions you win? No one cares.

    Don

Apologies, I'm kind of new to the lingo and "sessions" is something that I have heard and read about quite a bit around here and other places. Maybe "single casino visits" would make more sense.

But that's neither here nor there....in your book Don don't you even mention aiming not to win a TON from a single visit to a single casino. So as not to shove their face in it.

While it might not be much in the long run or in Vegas or A.C., I've gotten a lot of attention winning $750 or more from the low limit tables around me. Frankly, some pitties start freaking out....

I play 6D H17 now. For the first ~75 hours I was playing DD but changed up my game for the wiser.

    Usual spread is

    +1 table min
    +2 $20
    +3 and +4 $50
    +5 $75
+6 or higher $100 and up to $125 depending on count.

99% counting. I spent one night hole carding, but I haven't been able to track down that dealer again....maybe got fired. Wasn't very lucrative because I wasn't prepared for that type of play. I just saw an opportunity. Made $250
