Thank you guys for taking my thread and making it about Collin and college dropouts.....I dont subscribe to that forum so I dont know what they talk about.

No one said anything about any of that. I take it you guys don't have any funny stories? Lmao Just trying to be conversational...rather than just bickering. But I guess thats not am option.

Are you the same "obiwan" that use to post on BJ21? The person I'm thinking of is Hawaiian and he use to post stories on BJ21 with his girlfriend. We would have met at a BJ21 party back in 2009, and you hauled a bunch of blackjack books halfway around the world for me.
Haha no different obi wan. Ive only been playing since around last spring. He sounds like a pretty cool guy though.

    Okay, here's a funny story.

Playing DD heads up. The count is sky high, one deck in and no aces seen. I get 99 vs dealer 7. I split. The dealer looks at me, and says "you shouldn't split 9s on a 7." I said I was feeling lucky, and again gestured to split. He said "you have a winning hand! You really shouldn't split!" I said I had a good feeling about it, and again gestured to split. He looks around, and says quietly "Look, I count cards, and I'm telling you splitting is a bad idea." I said I'm pretty stubborn, and again gestured for the split. He sighs and deals the first card...an Ace. The second was a 10. He flips his card to show another ace, and I win both hands.

I just said well, look at that! I knew I had a feeling! What I wanted to say was what count do you use that WOULDN'T split at this point?

Similar situation, only on a 6D. Playing two hands, the first is the pair of 9s. Three other players at the table. I split, end up with crap, and annoyingly screwed over the other hand in the process. Of course all the ploppies at the table do a replay, saying had I not split, blah blah blah. Then a woman next to me says "I've seen better card playing at Crazy 8s!" Now I do NOT care an iota what anyone at the table thinks of my play, but I did have to laugh at that one.

If I have a winning hand, pay me now and I won't split :-)
