Thread: What have you heard other players/Casino personnel say about you/your play??

A ploppy was pissed off that I was surrendering - accused me of being selfish and not a team player - screwing up the flow for my own gain, etc. So to "get even" with me he splits 22 v. X. Yes, he lost both hands.

Edit: it was XX v 2!

Reading this thread, one would think every time one makes the correct deviation, they win, shock ploppies and dealers who disagree with the decision. There are plenty of times when you make the correct decision, get insurance, split 10's, double A8 against the advice of ploppies and dealers and you lose and it's their turn to think you are an idiot.

This thread is fast becoming a show-off display.

BJA could use an intelligent, positive poster like you. You might consider joining and sharing your perspective.

I'm totally okay with ploppies, dealers, and the pit thinking I'm an idiot.

    In fact, I prefer it.

As a fellow alumni of the “kicked off” BJA crowd, Zee is right. About every other thread at BJA was about stupid things heard (or seen) at the blackjack table or something to that effect. When Zee made his comment, I laughed because it brought back memories.

Zee, I like your posts because they always cut right to the chase. I heard you had a good A7 story about a cowboy who sat next to you. Since I wasn’t around the first time you told this story, I was wondering if you could tell it again. This looks like a good thread for this kind of story.

Too old to remember, Dbs. In this thread, it reeked of BJA because that one is full of newbies who have given up full time jobs, college of just turned 21 and gleefully report their early success. Collin did not want me to point out that variance will hit, that back offs will come that it will become more like work someday.

Hey MWP - I have to confess I did neg post #15. When I read it, it had one neg already, so I posted the second neg, so you wouldn't think the sole neg was from me
That must be your Like on it, right?

I think the real reason Zee was kicked off BJA is because Colin prefers In-N-Out Burger to Arby's.

Yeah, I agree with you. I thought you’d get the boot before me, but I got it first because I broke their other cardinal rule: Thou shalt not tip....I believe in tipping.

I always liked your mini-feuds with sassy red. Btw, did you hear her recent GWAE podcast? She quite her fulltime Corp. job to play blackjack fulltime. I think she said she thought she could make as much playing blackjack fulltime in 3 years as she would make in her Corp job in 10 years. I thought what kind of Corp job does she have that pays so little? It was this type of talk that had all the young newbies chomping at the bit, wanting to turn pro. They made it sound like going to the NBA and making the big bucks. So they didn’t like you throwing water on their dreams.

The other problem you had is you were too blunt. The posters on BJA are very polite. When they disgree with someone, they first spend a couple sentenses complimenting the person before they let them know they don’t agree with them. You’d just come out and say you didn’t agree with someone, which doesn’t fly over there.

As Colin said, our style is better suited for other forums like this one. I don’t feel too bad since most the members here would probably be banned on BJA too for their lack of tact and disagreeing with someone.
