What have you heard other players/Casino personnel say about you/your play??

Back counted and wonged into a game recently. The count was rising as one of the ploppies left. I played an extra hand just to "keep the flow of the cards"

After a long, rough night it was nice to see both my hands repeatedly fill up with aces and tens. "Finally" I thought.
Eventually I caught an A,8 vs a dealer 5. I reached for my stack of chips to double and the ENTIRE table erupted in protest. "NOO don't take the bust card" "really you have a 19 already just leave it" As I counted and picked up my chips the black lady next to me rudely held her hand out and said "NuUh he doesn't want to do that" to the dealer (No suprise that they were acting like this, they had all been losing quite a bit before i jumped in....but that has nothing to do with me)

The dealer looked at me and was getting ready to pass me up. I dropped my plump stack of chips and tapped on finger clearly on the felt. You can't deny that. He says "Okkkaaayyy" and slaps me the next card. BOOM Nice beautiful queen. Everyone shut the fuck up after that. Dealer busted.

I won more after that and colored up my nice pile of chips after the shoe. The Same lady commented "How the hell you do that?....you must be on some voodoo psychic shit. Keep that away from me"

It was late and I hit the road, but I couldn't help but wonder how the conversation went at that table after I left. Or how weird it might have looked with me jumping in winning a ton off some mystic blackjacks and strange plays then coloring up after playing only half a shoe.

Anyone have stories like this? People freaking out or getting mad at things you do at the table.

There's not much you can do Neither do it and leave or stay behind and get heat . Only you know what the situation calls for with experience and how the store/ ploppies reacts . You can spread 1-4 and play for even or you can try to win .

    1. Was playing Sp21 one day and a husband abd wife were both playing next to me. They were playing like it was BJ and I was playing correctly (including index plays).

About 2 hours later, my stacks keep growing and they were on their 4th buy-in. I'm motion for a hit on my 12 v 5, and one says to the other in a foreign language I understood, "he sure is lucky for a lousy player."

    2. Dealer says to me, "they know you're counting, but they let you play because you're not very good at it."

Too bad the dealer did not draw to 21, then the fun would have really started. After the TC dropped then you could have wonged out and waved goodbye to all the people cursing you.

I was playing at a nearly full table playing at third base with a nice bet out...
I was dealt a hard 18 (face, eight), Dealer was showing an 8.
First base player had hard 12, and makes a clear "hit" signal, the dealer proceeds to pull the card from the shoe just as the player decides he doesn't want a card and makes a "stand" signal. I just happen to be looking in the right spot where I saw a red card that was rounded on top and "open" on the left side of the number. At that point I knew it couldn't have been a 6, 8 or 9, only a 2. The dealer apparently thought it was not exposed and kept her hand on the card face down on the table. There was still 4 players to take a card. 3 out of the 4 had basic strategy "hit" hands. It became clear no other players saw the exposed card except myself. No one took a hit.
When the player next to me gave the "stand" signal it was such a relief.
I grabbed a stack of chips equal to that of the size of chips in my playing circle and said "double"...
Instantly I had five players plus the dealer giving me looks of death and vulgar language...
After being asked several times by the dealer "Are you sure?", I replied, "I am sure"....
The dealer slaps the 2 of diamonds on my hard 18 and looks at me in disgust. she then flips her card which is a face to make 18 for the house.
I quickly tossed the dealer a green chip since I had no idea what her next move was. I figured It would greatly reduce the chance of her calling floor/pit. (Best +EV tip I ever gave)

I will never forget the 180 degree turn in facial expressions by the players.

I am Just thankful that positive variance was with me and the dealer didn't make a hand because I "messed up the flow of the cards"... I probably wouldn't have made it out alive.

Nice! Thats the perfect set up for getting yelled at while making some money. Haha must've been a sight to see! I tried that once in a similar situation (someone hit and then didnt want it) But I saw the next card was an Ace so I doubled my bet because I knew it was coming to me. The dealer gave me the Ace but then noticed my bet and burned the shoe instead.

Sometimes they are brainwashed sheep protecting casino profits when 1. We pay their bills (we make money they make money) and 2. The casino only pays them 9 dollars an hour. JMHO

Yeah, happens all the time, but can't recall a recent news worthy incident.

Are you the same "obiwan" that use to post on BJ21? The person I'm thinking of is Hawaiian and he use to post stories on BJ21 with his girlfriend. We would have met at a BJ21 party back in 2009, and you hauled a bunch of blackjack books halfway around the world for me.

I was playing heads up during a high count when a player was just about to sit down and join me, so i asked them if they can wait until the end of shoe before joining which they obliged. A couple of hands later just before the end of the shoe i split my tens.
The player left as he saw me do that and as he was walking away he mentioned under his breathe to another person that was watching "I wouldn't want to play with him anyway because he splits tens"

If You had not been "kicked out" from BJA,
would you make the same comment now?

When I'm trying to protect heads-up play I'll ask if they can wait a few hands. Then I'll tell them they, "probably don't want to play with me.... I do some crazy things. Split tens...." and they high-tail right away from me.
