Best way to learn best black jack strats before vegas

Going to Vegas next week, been awhile since I played black jack. I know how to play but want to do as well as I can. What’s the best way to get ready? An app or game? Tks

It really depends upon how you learn. I'm a fan an app on my phone. Unless you will be betting black chips study basic strategy for Hit17 6 decks. The casino with the Eiffel tower offers a $15 eight deck game that has surrender. It might be at your best option.

Here's some unsolicited advice however. If you just want to lose as little money as possible, make sure you're playing a game that pays 3:2 for blackjack. Don't play a game that only pays 6:5. Also try to find a full table. you will lose slower that way because you will get in less hands per hour.

    I have this one:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...1.com&hl=en_US

    Not bad.

But when you memorize a chart, do the following:

    12 H vs. 2,3, 7 - Ace and stat 4,5,6. So memorize them "horizontally".

Lose as Little as possible. You don’t sound very optimistic. Last time I was there I did pretty well, paying for my plane ticket.

No, I'm not optimistic. If you know basic strategy, however, it is the best (lowest house edge) game in Vegas. Much better than playing slots or roulette, or messing with the one armed bandits. If you did well before, you had some good variance (got lucky).

Most of us started as recreational players. Eventually we wanted to CONSISTENTLY win, so we took up card counting. Even then, we all still lose sometimes.

I never go to Vegas "knowing" I will win. I never sit at a table expecting to win. I expect to play with no mistakes, and hope the cards fall in the right place. I know that long-term I'm a winner. But in any given day or trip, I may lose.

If you're a recreational player, I stand by my advice. Learn basic strategy. Play the best game (best rules) you can afford. Play slowly, so you accumulate more comps. And I didn't mention it before, but don't bet any of the side bets--stick to BJ only.

RCJH, this is advice! What I had written in the other post is a report, not advice. Maybe Don can teach you guys the difference.

Use it if you use bitcoin, the rules are good, and they payout fast with no requirements for id or anything. Only play the live dealer game, their computer BJ is the same as any other site, not random at all.
Or better yet, do not listen to anything kingplaya says...buy a book and figure out what you are doing.

Get Norm's app on your phone and his software cvcx for your computer. Grab a copy of CBJN and you'll be well prepared if you take the time and make the effort to study them all..
