Included Strategies - which is your favourite?

    Greetings everyone,
I'm new to the forums and recently bought the software. I've tried to create my own betting strategies that would suit team play and have used playing strategies from the Included Strategies list. I have started with Standford-Wong's Basic Hi-Lo strategy and while I have a positive EV, I'm told that the SCORE of 17 isn't very good.

Does anyone have suggestions? What Included Strategy works best for people?

    Thanks kindly,

    Pat

I use Wong's Hi Lo, as well. Changing strategy isn't going to significantly improve SCORE. You need to find better games, the primary factors affecting it being penetration and game speed.

I was thinking more about testing though... so in the simulator you can change parameters for deck penetration but I don't want to change it from where it's at which is 75%.

Has anyone tested with other strategies that have a high SCORE? I got mine up to 17 but supposedly that's still low. The problem is that I'm trying to find any combination of included strategies and I can't even get it to a positive EV on the simulator.

You didn't mention anything about how you're betting or the game rules. The playing strategy is the least of your concerns. If you'd like answers, you need to be more specific with the information you're giving us and not speak in generalities.

My apologies, I'm looking at a 6 deck shoe, 3:2 payout, dealer hits on soft 17. I'm just curious what testers have gotten in terms of SCORE and IBA%. For me I am at about +.7% IBA and a SCORE of about 17.

Effective betting strategies for team play and lone wolf AP play are critical to enhancing longevity. I would refer you to a document found on this site, Dr. Richard Reids "Dynamic Blackjack", for some concept guidance.

PM me if you want to have a more in depth discussion.

ummm infinite bankroll... I just wanted to know if anyone has been able to use the CVCX simulator and create a set of rules that gave them a positive EV and a high SCORE rating. I've tried all sorts of combinations and can't get higher than +.7% IBA and a SCORE of 17.

Forget real life strategy, I was just asking specifically about this particular simulator

    Thanks Stealth,
but I'm new and don't know how to PM you. But everyone has responded with an answer that I'm really not looking for. I realize that an effective strategy has elements that go beyond this simulator but I'll get to those in a separate thread. For now I was just wondering if anyone has been able to use a set of parameters to produce results in the simulator that has a significant SCORE stat. I ran my test for 200 million hands and got as high as 17 on my SCORE stat.

You're really incredibly stubborn. I asked you to enunciate a spread. Why are you trying to explain to us what we don't know or understand? Do you think if you ask the same (wrong) question enough times, someone will all of a sudden wake up and "know" what you're talking about?

If you want answers to what you don't understand, answer the questions that are being asked of you. Or resign yourself to not getting any answers.

Nothing irritates people here more than a newcomer who comes here and starts to tell us what we don't know!

Nice to see you've woken up today in your normal, relaxed mood

umm, I'm not sure what side of the bed you woke up on but I'm not trying to be stubborn. I'm truly new and I don't even know what kind of spread you're talking about. If I've asked the wrong question then it's not because I'm trying to be a smart ass it's because I really don't know what to ask. All I wanted to know was what kind of SCOREs people were getting on pretty much any setting with 6 decks. I also don't know why you're getting so annoyed, I never tried to tell people what you do or don't know. I was simply sharing my results. I hope others in this forum aren't as sensitive... I know I've met some weird people in the casino but I didn't expect it here... weird... just weird... *shrugs shoulders*

I'm trying to get answers that will help the original poster. What have you contributed in that regard? Oh.
