Sweatiness of Lakeside Inn in Tahoe

Im going to Tahoe next week for a weekend. I have a current edition of CBJN (actually it’s February’s but close enough). I find it hard to believe I’ll find any of the tables at the big casinos that are on CBJN during a spring break weekend (is it possible? Maybe if I go in the morning?) so Lakeside Inn looks like my best bet. Im a $10 player atm, wanted to know how sweaty the place is and if I can get away with a 1:12 spread there. White rabbit style,
    TC 1: 10
    TC 2: 20
    TC 3: 20x2
    TC 4: 40x2
    TC 5: 60x2

Let me know what you guys think

Tahoe is not a great place for BJ but Reno is not too far away. The spread is okay if you are aware of the pit because going back and forth from one hand to two in the manner you plan while pit is watching could lead to trouble. Its probably better if you just went to $30 or $40 on one hand and just play one hand all the time. I play two hands, starting at 2 x 10 off the top and keeping to 2 hands in all positive counts. If count goes negative, I play just one hand. However, if I drop to one hand, then I continue playing one hand. Sometimes, surveillance will also note your going from one to two hands.

I was recently flat betted, though not in Tahoe, when I was blatantly following the very spread you mentioned because the casino was crowded, the pit was not paying any attention. I was shocked when I got a tap on my shoulder by a suit with another one along. He asked me to step away from table and then told me that I could only play the bet amount I started the shoe with and play only one hand. I never thought surveillance be following a $10 dollar 6 deck table in a casino with lots of folks in the HL area playing $50 and $100 min. and a main floor with a half dozen $25 min. DD games and another 6 6 deck tables. They did.

Just fyi, what you are describing is not a true 1-12 spread. More like 1-8

Can you play 2x10 off the top? I thought you have to play double the min bet when playing two hands. (noob question but this will be the first time I play two hands so wanna clarify)

Depends on the casino. Some will be okay 2 hands with minimum bets.

In some casinos, they let you play the same minimum on both hands, in some, only the second hand requires a double the minimum, and in some both require double the minimum. In Law Vegas, more of them don't require double the minimum.

That is a 1-12 spread I don’t know why someone would claim different. Are you planning that on Lakeside single deck? You’ll last 10 min if lucky.

Best games are Harrahs and Harvey’s double decks and they handle large action but unfortunately $25 minimum.

You will be fine, especially if it's crowded.

Zee was backed off in a place he has previously been backed off at. It has nothing to do with the spread.

Yes I already went, and got my ass kicked, one of those high count bad variance games. Would not recommend Tahoe like everyone else has mentioned.

To answer the original question, is it sweaty? They were sweating my black action (I was consistently rebuying in 1 $100 bet with $100 bills) but before that not really. The place was empty and I was the only one playing.

All is missing is the exact date and shift you intend to play?

FWIW, there is a huge difference between four green and one black. Every time you bet black, they call it out. This attracts attention. Did you try betting green only?

You didn't ask, but you should always avoid the table max call as well.

And lastly, how did you bet 2x60 with black chips?
