    some quick factoids:

about 420 million worldwide own Crypto - market cap of about 1.1 $ Trillion U.S. dollars - of which about $504 billion is Bitcoin

I own a small amount which I bought due to fomo - fomo is a very powerful thing

I don't know how to do that - maybe someone that does could do it - and posts might be more interesting, insightful

I say if you want to invest in something that has value only because other people think it has value, then crypto is perfect.

There were so many men in human history trying to print their own money to become rich. This is the first time they almost succeed because they said in the digital age, the money need to become digital and crypto encrypted, and so they offer these crypto currencies.

Nice try. But now US government clearly said No thanks. We already have digital currencies, US Dollar and Japanese Yen etc. The bottom line is that private citizens and companies have no right to issue money of their own. No government will allow them to do so. Crypto coins could be security only if they have something to back them up. Something physical like US currency backed up by physical gold.

And that all-time classic, the Dutch tulip bulbs. At least with those you could get something you could physically hold in your hand, which puts them ahead of crypto.

The U.S. has not made a strong move to shut down Crypto and I doubt they will - they have only enforced some disciplinary action re their regulations

Bitcoin started in 2009 - it's already been around for 14 years

per the link there were over 410 million Bitcoin transactions yesterday

the price of bitcoin jumped as it looks like btc moved closer to being allowed to trade on the U.S. stock market as an ETF

    from the article:

"The value of crypto assets surged Tuesday after a US court cleared a path for the nation’s first bitcoin exchange-traded fund.

The ruling is a breakthrough moment for crypto investors and a setback for the Securities and Exchange Commission, which has been trying to rein in the digital asset industry.

The three-judge panel for the DC Court of Appeals overruled an SEC decision denying Grayscale Invesments permission to launch a bitcoin-focused ETF. The panel said the regulator had failed to adequately explain why it rejected the firm’s application.

The ruling opens the door to an investment product that investors have been demanding for years.

"This is a historic milestone for American investors, the Bitcoin ecosystem, and all those who have been advocating for Bitcoin exposure through the added protections of the ETF wrapper,” Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein said in a statement. “It’s incredibly exciting that we are one step closer to making a US spot Bitcoin ETF a reality.”
