    Question about Reko Count

Hello all, I am brand new here. I have been studying becoming an AP for about 3 months and after a lot of research I am mainly interested in the REKO count because I feel sacrificing a little bit of EV for a lot of simplicity and a lesser risk of my own error affecting my EV. My question is: Is the REKO count (using +2 for all indices) truly as good as Norm says it is? "This provides KO with 99% to 100.7% of HiLo performance from 44 to 90 cards cut off." (In a 6 deck shoe) Is what is claimed, and after running sims I have no reason to doubt him. So if I want to use a level 1 count, is it safe to say that REKO is where I should be looking for simplicity combined with effectiveness? I know a lot of people on this site are into more advanced counting methods and are quick to bash a count such as this, but anyone doing so if you could please reference numbers/stats/sims it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any input in advance!

Norm is a shill and so is don. The Whitehall palace is working negative magic on me to confuse explaination. I can’t even post my ever evolving self replenishing bankroll without freemasonic static clouding my matrix.

Haha keep the fuck off the forums you have been warned. Empiricism is the only way to go in blackjack to play without thinking. Does compute.

Anybody have at least a semi serious response for me? I've done my due diligence in research just trying to check for any holes in my thinking as I think any reasonable new AP should.

The general "consensus" (if one wants to claim,) is that any given system that offers +EV wile being easy to implement by the counter is that counter's preferred system. For brevity: use the system that is easiest for you with no errors (in RC/TC conversion and index invocation.)

If you want to use reKO, use reKO. If you want to use HOII with ASC & 7SC, then do so.

Make sure that you can accurately use your system without error!

REKO is a very strong count. It definitely gets you the money. No side counting, no true counting. Easy and quite straightforward counting system. I have been using it successfully in the past 4 years.
The point is not to have a complicated count that might cause countless of errors using it. The secret of the game is to find and play a QUALITY game.

THIS CANNOT BE OVERSTATED. Doesn't matter (generally speaking) a whole lot what count you use if you're playing trash like 8D, H17, Ndas, rsa2, double down any 2, with a $0.50 ANTE per hand. AchooooWinstar. Minor considerations are that most of the "books", charts i.e. BS, and Teams use HiLo, it's something of the "universal language " of Cc. Something that you will also need to know is when to Wong in/out with Reko and how it performs and may need modifications (starting #, indices) for Single deck, DD, and/or shoe games.
