Will it double 9 vs 2 normal play ( BS ), if you play rolling promotions 1-2% ?

From my understanding loss rebates have NO effect on your play decisions but certain betting strategies can help to optimize them.

Love how you ask a question but shoot down the first response you get. The reason you hit a 9 v 2 under BS instead of doubling is because hitting on average GENERATES MORE EV. Regardless of your loss rebate, you want to make the biggest +EV percentage play you can, and the loss rebate does not change the fundamental fact that in blackjack you don't double 9 v 2 unless the count is high enough.

    Beware.

A student of mine got sucked into a luscious looking rebate

    program in Australia.

They completely misrepresented the facts of the matter.

They only counted winning bets and NOT losing bets!

They then rated those bets at 0.5% X 0.24% X hrs.

so, in fact, they told him that his bet level was inadequate

Even their notion of the House Edge was actually too low!

In the end, they deducted his room at $400/day and

all of his severely overpriced restaurant bills.

They then told him that he did NOT qualify

for promised First Class airfare refund (from the U S A)

His actual mean bet was roughly $600 for an absurd no.

of hands 4 hrs. daily for about 5 days, if memory serves.

He had "front money" of $100,000, he broke even and they

took about $4,000. A big chunk of his "good faith" deposit!

as he also had to pay his own airfare.

I've never seen a luscious looking rebate program in Australia. It's more likely that your confederate misunderstood the fundamental difference between the US and Australian systems. Australian casinos don't use loss rebates, they use win rebates which means the player is returned a certain amount of money based on their total win amount. Some of the larger casinos don't offer any rebates at all on Blackjack or Pontoon, only on Baccarat, Roulette and other higher house edge games. The smaller casinos offer it on Blackjack but track every win so they can calculate the benefit, however, any sign of advantage play will quickly see you restricted or barred from the game.

Your T-win is calculated by the house edge multiplied by the players turnover and a percentage of that figure is returned to the player often in the form of complimentary points which can then be converted to cash. A player is put onto a program depending on the amount of front money deposited and this determines the rate of return. These days a player would need to show a lot more than $100K to qualify for any form of airfare rebate and it is more likely that they maybe able to benefit from this if they were part of the Junket system which is common is Asia.

Why you do not consider additional EV loss rebate in hand and NO ?
