    REKO for 6 deck.

Wow. I have been using REKO for double deck for 18 months now. I recently started playing 6 deck, and because its unbalanced, it takes so long to get to the key count for 6 deck! I can't even believe it. Last night i played 6 deck with KO for the first time, and i played 4 shoes with 1.5 deck pen, and the highest it got was to -1. Is there a better way to do this? For example, multi parameter betting ramps? Does anyone have the proper numbers for that? For example, the key count will chance depending on how far the shoe is dealt. Maybe the first 25% will be -12 key count, 25-50% would be -18, and the rest would be -24? Thats just something i came up with on the top of my head. Does anyone have the proper numbers?

    Hey Ldubz274,

I'm not that long into cardcounting (maybe half a year) but I was on the same way like you. I was using REKO in 6-Deck games - and if the penetration is poor, you will face very rarely a positive count. So I just tried, as Osmosis already mentioned, a form of true counted-REKO (or KO, possible for both), and it really provides more (high-)betting opportunities. I'm currently playing 6-Deck shoes with a penetration of 55-60% by using the true counted version of REKO and it feels like a lot more early betting opportunities. That is, because the unbalanced count of REKO with its start at -20 is probably going to underrate the deck in the beginning, by sometimes letting you overbet in later stages of the shoe. I just can recommend "The Color of Blackjack"-Book to you. Its a very short and small book for a not that low price - but it exactly covers the pain of waiting for increasing your bet in REKO or KO.
