Error message in CVCX and CVData when starting sims after software update

Hi Norm. I`m getting an error message in CVCX and CVData when starting simulations... The error is: "Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface". Can you tell me how I can fix this when you can please? I have version 5 and this started happening right after I updated the software from the website. I know I downloaded the correct one, because the name of the msi starts with "5" (5141b).

You cannot apply the V5.6 update to V5. You must uninstall V5 and install V5.6. Before doing this. you must reboot Windows as the error will have locked some files.

Ahh ok got it. Thanks. The uninstall/reinstall won`t cause me to lose any setup stuff or archive sims, right? I`m sure it probably doesn`t since all that should still just live in the folder afterwards, but just wanted to make completely sure since I have a ton of old stuff I need...

Reinstall doesn't affect any settings or files.

Hey Norm, I am also getting the "Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface" error when I try to start a sim in CVCX or CVData. I've downloaded the free demo of CVCX/CVData from qfit.com and I registered both programs. I tried the above steps in uninstalling and reinstalling the software but that hasn't helped. Im on Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363, x64-based PC.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

This means a mixture of files from different releases and is usually due to an install problem. I can link in and take a look. Email me [email protected].
