    Bypassing the buy in

Buying in at a table always causes a call to the pit. Anybody out there try to avoid this by keeping a small inventory of chips at hand for different shops.

Yeah i used to do that, but what's the use? Maybe for people who Wong in it looks more like a natural gambler. Perhaps it could limit exposure to those who play brief hit-and-run sessions as a refusal. NOT gonna reduce heat by avoiding the dealer from relaying buy-in amount to pit boss. If you go this route do so with green chips. This is risky if trying to avoid CTR, showing ID at cage or with ratholed black chips. The floor pays close attention to black chips. You'll eventually have to cash in your chips at some point so just do so at the end of the day.

This is ridiculous. If you come to the table with $5 and $25 chips, you can play them without attracting any attention from the pit, HOWEVER that means you're betting so small that you won't attract any attention anyway. If you bet any decent money, you will get to the table with $100 and $500 (not to mention $1000) chips, then you will either check change them (calling to the pit check change X) or you will play them (calling "Black action" or worse... purple in play"). Ask yourself, why should you avoid a buy in ? Buy ins are good, I could do buy ins all night long. It shows you're a losing player.

Keeps the game moving, and requires less direct interaction with the pit, always a good thing. Especially for a hit and run session where you are doing Wonging and changing pits, rooms or casinos. I also would try to avoid cash outs, the less seen at the cash out windows the better. Not to mention the best pictures are taken there. Including someone looking out for anyone to rob.
