None that I have heard. I'll ask the publisher.

    Hello Don

Is a Kindle version of BJA 3 still in the works? I have some Kindle book experience and I know that formatting charts, graphs, etc in order to appear properly can be difficult

I am holding out for the Kindle version because I would prefer to have the book on my PC and tablet for easier reference

    Thanks

Kindle is a royal pain in the ass. Nearly impossible for books with large numbers of large tables. I know people like their phones. But, this isn't a novel. Reading intricate info on a tiny device doesn't make sense to me.

You should check the dimensions of Kindles. Hardly "tiny".

"Dimensions" are tricky with mobile devices. Essentially, all mobile device makers substantially exaggerate their dimensions by conflating the pixels available when showing videos with the lower dimensions available when displaying web based material.

I understand. I really do. It's in the publisher's hands, but I have little confidence that it's a priority with him.

I wouldn't fault your publisher for not making a kindle version a priority. I really think people that request these books on a kindle type of device are a minority (could be wrong).
When studying game theory years ago I bought a kindle book on the subject. I must say it was an absolute horrible experience. Trying to scroll around back and forth trying to work through
equations and complex explanations was a disaster having the screen zoom in and out etc. Never again. I'll stick to simpleton stuff for kindle reading.

Wong did it with Professional Blackjack and there are a lot of charts in the back of his book. Some of the charts change font size half way through the chart. It can be done.

PS. I don't read on a small kindle or phone. I use kindle for PC and read on my big desk top computer.

But I'm assuming that the whole reason people are asking for BJA3 to be an eBook is so they don't have to carry the book around and can read/refer to it on phones or iPads, no?

To me, the weight and thickness of BJA3 is indeed a drawback often hindering me from taking it out of house for reading. In English such a thick and heavy book is called "doorstopper", in German it is called "Schinken" (which translates to "ham" in English) :-)

I use Kindle in my PC, iPad and phone. I used to read books in paper but using e-books for past 10 years which is very easier for me to read.

I'm the opposite. Any dense or long read needs to be on paper.
