    Building my bankroll

Anyone know some things I could do on the side of my current job to make some extra money and build my bankroll? Preferably legal, thanks.

I don't have any experience with (driving for) Uber, Lyft, etc. but I know some people who have. It seems a bit iffy and you may not be making money at the end of it, since driving is expensive.

Although I'm pretty sure they do have sign-up bonuses, where once you do X amount of trips, you get a $500 bonus or some such thing. Either way, definitely look into it and make sure you're making money on it for starters AND you're making enough so it's worth it.

There are many different factors and things you can do when it comes to building a bankroll. Unfortunately, I don't really have any recommendations as far as making money, other than getting another job, working more hours, etc.

Questions to ask yourself follow. But what's your goal in building a bankroll? How much do you have right now and how much do you want/need/require for a play style you want to do? How much are you making from your current job, how much extra money can you save, and is there anywhere else you can cut back on expenses? Do you actually need all that bankroll right now to play? Also, what is your goal in AP? If you're just starting, chances are your goal isn't (and shouldn't be) to go pro/full time immediately. Regardless.....

If you're going to be playing recreationally, as in, your intent is to make money on the side, you still have a real and consistent job, and have extra money from your job that you can put into your bankroll....then you really don't need as much money cash-on-hand as all the ROR or BR calculators say. After all, you have more money coming in.

There are gig jobs by the dozen. Uber and Lyft are probably the best known, but there are others like Fiver out there you could do in your spare time. Check out https://www.wonolo.com/

I don't know your situation, but if you have a 9-5 you could get a part time job. Get creative. Think night clerk at a motel type job, or evening receptionist where you could study and practice when you didn't have anything else to do.

Cut your expenses. Nix cable. Get a room mate if you're single, or find a free room somewhere. In college I had one friend who bought an RV to save on housing, and another who lived in a funeral home (someone had to be there at all times in case there was a late night "delivery").

Unless you have a solid income source, don't go Hail Mary and bust out what small bankroll you have. Save until you have enough to play. Overbetting your bankroll is just gambling. Consider saving until you can green chip it. No sense burning your name for meaningless stakes. (Frankly, I wish I had done that...)

If the second job only pays $10 an hour or less, is it not better to spend the hour counting a table and even if it takes an hour to get to a Plus 3 count, just play that count. In effect you are only playing a positive Plus 3 or better count. Perhaps you can make $10 an hour that way.

Uber can be great. It depends all on where you live. I live in a collegetown and make some good money when the students are here.
