    BODARC Passes away

Many know and/or recall Bodarc as he was quite active on this forum a couple of years ago and made several connections with many of you.

Johnny, "Bodarc", was a fine "southern gentleman", a respected CPA and an accomplished AP.

We had played together on many trips and sometimes side by side in our double team structure. He was a close friend and a friend of many of our teammates. We lost a good one and we will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers go with his wife and family.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

I'm sorry to hear. Although I didn't know him, I can tell I would have liked him. My condolences.

My condolences. I don't know if I met him when portions of our teams met for dinner, and an exchange of ideas when our paths were known to be crossing in the same city. But I recognize the handle. If he wasn't there I am sure he was as nice as all the other APs I met during that meal and will be missed by many.

I'm very sad to hear this. This the first of these kinds of announcement for which I personally knew the person. I did some simulations of a non-blackjack game for him a few years ago and was recently wondering what had become of him.

I feel compelled to write a couple of words about Bodarc.

He once arrived late at to engagement, because he had to stop and get boiled peanuts he saw on the way. This was him in a nutshell (pun intended). He always found time for the simple things. You never had to tell him to stop and enjoy life a minute.

I did not know him well, but had the opportunity to play alongside him on a few occasions. He could tell a story in a way that would leave tears in your eyes and gasping for breath. He was a great person and will be missed.
