I am not sure how the casino would prove you are using your chips to count. You are keeping only the AA89mTc for example, which is not the HL so if they tried to say you were using your chips to count the HL you could easily show that is not the case. You could also say you are using the chips to see how many players won or lost and anything else. The casino could not prove what you were doing with the chips other than playing with them and also you update the AA89mTc only after all cards are on the board and before players play there hand and also as the hands are completed so you are not updating AA89mTc after each card is played. It would be very difficult to the casino to prove anything.
Also you can use your fingers to count the chips. For example, if AA89mTc were +7 the you can have two fingers from your right hand extended which is +2 and a finger of your left hand on your right wrist which is +5 for a total of +7. Or if AA89MTc were -13 for example, then have three fingers from your left hand on the table for -3 and two fingers on your left wrist for -10 for a total of -13.
And also it is just two integers. You should be able to keep two integers in your head if you really have to.
But I have never been bothered moving my chips around. Either they did not notice or did not care what I was doing. But sometimes I just use my fingers as described above or keep both KO and AA89mTc in my head. It is not that hard to do.
