When dealers paid out the side bet more than $150, he has to yell out the amount. After pay the side bet out quite a few times , the pit boss came to investigate. After checking the ASM status, he told the dealer that his predecessor set the side bet as Lucky Lady tables. The dealer was surprised like me. She said she doesn't know there is such a setting.

I never stated that the ASM makers did it with the intent to cheat and neither did I say that all casinos cheat. However, I would not be surprised if some casinos can use the sort function to sort cards the way they want and that they use it occasionally when they suspect someone is an AP at a table or do it at times.

That’s still screwing with principles of random probability. If caught, I would imagine that penalties would be severe.

If a casino suspected someone of being an AP, why would they result to cheating through programming an ASM? Why not just kick them out them out like they’ve been doing for 50 years? What you’re saying defies common sense.

Why would any casinos spend the time and money to do this? It’d take time, money and could result in jail time. Quite a few people would need to be involved to pull this off. You’d have to have someone who knew how an ASM works, knew programming logic and then understood bj well enough to know how to program the shuffle to get an advantage against an AP. That person/persons would know he’s doing something against the law and be willing to take the risk and go to jail if caught. Common sense tells you this would never happen.

Yes. Penalties are usually per instance. Could you imagine the casino paying $10K per shuffle in penalty? It would automatically be a max fine with no need to compute the penalty. I had a dispute that the gaming commission resolved for me. I got a call weeks later asking about how often the casino violated the law. It was nonstop for over a year. They got the max fine. That surprised me because the frequency of the transgression was about every 50K to 70K rounds. I guess if you have enough games going you go through rounds pretty quick.

The trouble with conspiracy theories is too many people have to keep their mouths shut for them to be valid. Have any casino staff started dying mysteriously or in high frequency? That is how a conspiracy is kept quiet. If too many people know about it there is always someone that will leak the info. Dead men tell no tales.

    +1

Casino employees probably do have shorter lifespans than the overall population due to second hand smoke.

And those who frequent casinos? Do they have a shorter life span than those who do not?

Probably, though I suspect the casino industry would not sponsor such a study.

it probably has to do with other functions rather than the infamous " beast" mode though.
