    Long time...

Hi guys, time without posting, I have devoted full time to play, but I always take the time to read almost all the articles of the last 2 years...

Well... now I have a question that has nothing to do with Bj, it is about "Chemin de Fer", a variant of Baccarat that is not played against the house, it is against other players, from 2 to 12, 20 sometimes 30... The game is unusual, hard to find and very exclusive.

The point is that I am very interested to read more about this game, but I searched across the web and I have not found too much information about it.

So... for those of you with a lot of experience in gaming, do you know what Im talking about? Do you know the game? Have you seen or heard about it before?

Thanks in advance, is always a pleasure to be part of this community.

    Rudy.

I believe still played in France. You could probably improve your odds making large bets while banker (assuming others accommodate the bets) and minimizing your bet as player. This is basically the same as Pai Gow Poker strategy. I suppose you could also look for really stupid players that don't hit correctly -- but basic strategy is trivial. I don't know what the house charges or if it limits your banker bet based on your previous player bets, which could wipe out any attempt at playing strategically. An advantage over PGP is that it's much faster.

Incidentally, a nice thing about this kind of game: If you can beat it, the casino doesn't care. You are beating other players. The casino still gets its vig.
