    Special Guest Chat Part 1

When talking during a chat about having a special guest, there was discussion about the format for such a chat. What would everyone think about the following format? Attempts have been made with this suggestion to keep a happy medium between structured chat and free-for-all. Proposed chat structure for special guest would be:

Users would submit top questions (20?)....There would be a set amount of time.....After the "group" questions were answered, the rest of the allotted time would be for free-for-all Q&A.

This seems to be a pretty good format for official guest chats.
I missed a few good chats on BJI because of the time difference, IMO it would be great to archive such chats (sensitive information should be censored).

The site is not currently generating chat transcripts, so there's nothing to archive. (I didn't bother to buy the feature.) Informal chats will certainly not be transcribed. I'm open to suggestions on formal guest chat archives. If any are kept, the guest will have censorship rights.

One of the most important things regarding a special guest chat is the form! I remember a guest chat with a poster called Griffin Man that didn't go well at all! Guys were jumping in left and right; it was so caotic! Really not worth the time that the moderator put into it because of those guys!

So without structure to the conversation, then I say don't bother.
