Vaccine and plans to fly to play..

It looks like I will likely get vaccinated by February so am wondering if I should start booking flights to play BJ, perhaps starting in March or April.

Wonder what to expect in Las Vegas. Will rental cars and hotel rooms be as cheap as in 2019? Will a vaccine protect me on those flights and in those casinos?

You should be immune if you get both shots at least 2 weeks before your trip. I suspect LV will still be a bit slow midweek but weekends will be crazy busy.

The rental cars are not cheap during the pandemic. The price of rental car actually went up during the pandemic. The hotel room rates actually went down during the pandemic. Declaring this right now: I am not staying at Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, no matter how cheap! Don't have time to play, due to my career.

I would ask why you would not stay at Trump International Hotel but that may lead to politics and bans.

Wonder how many LV casinos closed down during the Pandemic. Which got hurt the most, the strip casinos, downtown or the station and local casinos...

All of them got hurt, but the Strip casinos got hurt the most. No convention business. Many close midweek.

As long as any casino requires that I sit there wearing a suffocating mask in order to play even though I've had the shot, I'll stay away.

I do not mind wearing a mask to play. I think every casino should require hand sanitizer when the guest enter the door. I will take any measure to prevent myself from getting the coronavirus.

The vaccines do not prevent transmission. They greatly reduce the chance of symptoms and reduce severity if you do exhibit symptoms. But, you should still wear a mask to avoid making others sick.

From the CDC: a vaccine does not equal zero COVID.

Is that why you ruled out being a surgeon?

The masks have been a huge benefit to us.
