How's the Heat at Turtle Lake WI

I'm already in the planning stage for a blackjack trip next spring. I would be driving to a flight city and Turtle Lake or even Hayward WI would be a possible stop on my trip to a flight city. I would prefer Turtle Lake over Hayward as they have more blackjack tables and my sources tell me Hayward WI has done away with their 2 deck games and surrender.

However, the problem with Turtle Lake is I got flat betted there 15 years ago. I only played there once since then when my wife was with me and then it was a short session. I don't think they will remember me. I will play unrated, but will need to use a credit card for their hotel which is not attached to the casino. I don't think this will present a problem, but one never knows. By the way, I also got kicked out of their sister casino.

Anyway, my question remains what is the current heat situation like in Turtle Lake WI? Am I good for a one night stand?

My USD credit card shows my first and middle names only (my middle name can be easily construed as a last name). It is tied to my accounts - the bank doesn’t care as long as they get paid - they should allow you to put any name you want on it.

So, Milton Walter Polywhacker can now be shortened to Milton Walters, problem solved.

The lack of response to this is interesting. I've been wanting to ask questions about specific stores, but I get the idea that it's taboo to do it. Why? And if I can't ask here, what the best way to find out?

Networking with other APs, scouting and/or references like CBJN.

I'm surprised to hear a Wisconsin casino had surrender at one point.

    Don't be.

Onedia casino in Green Bay still has late surrender on their 6 deck game. At least it did, when I was there in the summer of 2017. I just checked CBJN and it doesn't look like anyone submitted a different report from mine since then.

Still has surrender, which probably is a net benefit to the house - most people don't surrender and when they do they're usually wrong. Oneida also has RSA.

Or more. I know all of the COLD spots. Keep in mind that 6 of the Canadian Provinces, and all of the territories (Yukon and Northwest Territories) are individually significantly larger, in area, than the largest US States, and there is lots of open land.

Well is wasn't quite -40 F., but it depends on what visit you are talking about.

On my summer visit it was actually quite a nice summer day. However, I didn't like the heat in the casino when they backed me off especially since I was down over $1,000 at the time.

The last time I was there was only a few months after my back off. We were on a trip to visit my son in early winter and we made Turtle Lake our halfway stop. I had my wife get a players card so we could get the players card special hotel rate of $35 a night. I never used my player's card at all. However, I had my Yooper Chook hat on so I looked different and I left it on all the while I played. Didn't get any heat from the pit. I didn't win much that night either. I was chicken to spread much. I just checked my records for that day and they show a $25 win with hotel cost of $35. I don't remember if I netted the hotel cost out of the win or not. But the important thing was I could play unrecognized.

Need cover, get a Yooper Chook.
