    Need advice

Im a new AP player, I started spending most of the time practicing unbalanced count,Read seven, I’m reasonably comfortable with the count i’ve got a good bit experience at the table but I need to get some hours of practice ,but I read recently that read seven was not good enough for DD so I’m going to h-low and now I have to convert rc to tc for some reason I just hate this it seems like to me that This is where our lose accuracy, just eyeballing they discordsAnd rough estimating remaining cards seems like a rough Science and will cause the tc to not be accurate, would it be reasonable to just actually count how many cards have been played as they come out in DD so I will know exactly what’s remaining in the deck before I convert? What is best? I originally thought red seven was about the same in accuracy, I am aware these are simple counts.

Get some casino decks and practice deck estimation like everyone else did. Counting the number of cards played gives great accuracy but if you are playing DD and want to count something extra there are much better things to side count. Side counting is pretty powerful in DD. But learning the skill to help you transition to deck estimates can be valuable when you don't need to side count to know how many cards have been played. Then you can side count something with more value.

I would just stick with the unbalanced count. I use Kiss III count it is similar to red 7 count, but i Only count black 2's. Don't have to worry about discard, and I can use better cover act with this simple count.

I think that Hi Lo will not be the better count. For 2 deck very good system is UBZ 2.

Thanks for the tips, seems pretty easy, I was concerned about the rounding off concepts but sounds like it don’t carry as much weight as I thought, ill work on estimating discards I’m going to take a look at some of the other side counts alone with UBz2 and also use read seven , Thanks
