## Professional Blackjack Single-Deck Indices.

On page 255 of PBJ: Hilo, Single-Deck, H17, nDAS
2-2 v 3, the index says 5.
Basic strategy says to split, how can the index be 5?

Split without double? Where do you play usually?

Agree with you. That index looks wrong. Indeed, it would give the wrong play off the top of the deck, as the Hi-Lo RC would be only +3, and the index would tell you not to split, which is wrong. Julian Braun gives +2, which seems more reasonable. I vaguely remember this discussion once before. I think the index is incorrect.

Thank you Don. I was reading p502 and amazed by the decision to not split after seeing 2,2,2,8,7,3, when the TC becomes +4.
Now I realized how influential a single 8 is for splitting deuces.

I don't play this game, I peruse the books to better prepare myself.
