Stealth had a good post. Almost everyone who recommended rarely playing rated f-d it up playing rated too many places to get a hotel room or a meal before they knew better. #Metoo

These discussions usually overlook two important points.

    1. At some point, depending on many factors, you will probably end up in the databases if you keep playing and a contributor thinks your game is strong.

    2. Despite playing unrated you can still (due to any number of factors) get backroomed, have your identity forcibly taken and end up in the databases that way.

That's likely to cost a casino way more than what your BJ play costs them.

Ever try to sue an Indian casino? They will laugh at you. It will be their own Indian court.

Not personally, but I know 3 guys (and you know them, too) who got a nice settlement from an Indian casino in Arizona.

The expert on this one is Al Rogers. If I’m not mistaken, individuals, including tribal members and state police, were sued in their individual capacities. It’s more than likely that the tribal casinos paid the individual judgements.

At low stakes you're better off playing unrated. You're not going to get much in the way of comps for your action and, frankly, the pit just won't care. In the event you are backed off you won't have much in the way of chips to cash and can, if you want, just walk with what chips you have and cash them whenever without having much money tied up. The best thing is that the casino won't have your name. You should just walk out with your chips and cash them later in your trip or on the next trip.

At higher stakes unrated play becomes more problematic. The casino sweats big action players who are unrated. (and when I say playing rated I mean always under an alias...that means a non-gambling friend or relatives card who looks like you and is approximately the same age or using a players card you got with a fake ID). You still won't be able to CTR but that's OK, the point of playing under an alias isn't to avoid legal requirements or scam comps, it's just to play and play legally while maintaining your privacy.

I no longer believe it is a good idea to ever play under your real name regardless of stakes. The only time I'd play unrated at high stakes is if I'm flat betting (like during a 2:1 blackjack promotion). If you want to play for comps play slots or VP at a small house where you can be 100% secure that you're not going to ever have to worry about being tossed into the street at 4am. Tuscany, Silver Sevens, Main Street Station, The D, etc.

There is 1 place where i play rated, and i have been playing on and off for going on 3 years now. In 2018 ive played quite a bit, maybe 200 or 300 hours, DD spreading min (50 or 100) to sometimes up to 2x1000. There was one day that i actually made a couple 5k bets. I dont understand how i can still play and not get backed off. A major reason has to be bc i have such a high rating with them since i play a ton of machines for ratings, and im running very bad lately at bj. But still... my spread is just rediculous and they dont blink an eye.

I know my game is on point, and ive been backed off of so many other places, im in all the books...*

Wonder why they keep letting me play.... ive heard of other APs that have been backed off at this place, one guy played about 4 hours one night, unrated. He goes back the next day and within 15 mins gets a polite back off.

Maybe because he's not rated. I would assume that would be a red flag if the person keeps going back to that place.

No, they cant be, i know that for a fact. At least for DD.. they show all the new cards when they change them, and they hand shuffle. The dealers there DEFINITELY arent smart enough to know a cheating shuffle.

Building a good standing at a casino and showing th all respect goes a long way.
I do have good relationships with some of the pit, but also some of them dont really know me except for what my card says.

I believe its mainly bc of my status plus the fact that ive been running so bad that they havent really looked into my play
