    Advantage from dealer mistakes

I was playing with a dream dealer recently; the guy was new and nervous, and made a tremendous number of mistakes - too many to list here. His most common one was paying blackjacks twice: once the normal 3:2 after you received the blackjack, and again if he busted (even though your cards were off the table at that point), at 1:1. There were other errors that sometimes happened as well, such as overpaying BJ, hitting soft 18s and 19s until he busted, and paying after he busted even if you busted first.

I know it has to be a decent advantage, though I only realized this after I got up from the table (i was betting table min b/c the count went nowhere). i probably should've been betting a hefty amount every hand regardless of count, though there was no guarantee he'd continue to make these mistakes. dammit.

Does anyone know about how much this kind of dealer is worth?

    cottage cheese,

I'd say 5 to 10, if the casino is able to convince some overzealous prosecutor that you were colluding with the dealer ;-)

Ha. Count the floorperson in on the collusion as well, because she was watching during some of the kooky payouts and saw nothing . And the rest of the table too. Gonna be a party in jail!

Not worth the risk. I’ve seen a dealer like that and felt the need to get up and leave (after the shoe finished of course!)

How can it be collusion if the entire table is payed in the same manner? I say play as long as you can. It's called advantage play. Stupid dealers and pit critters are out there.

Agreed. It would've been idiotic for me to leave this table. It was free money (for everyone). I'd seek the same dealer out every time too. I also forgot to mention that the dealer's pen was incredible as well.

That's what I did when I found very error prone dealers that had been dealing in the same casino for years. I just flat bet my max bet every time one of the trio dealt to me. I played with one on a CSM game and made a boatload. It is easy to win when you get payed some of the time when you lose.

Hm it depends on whether you value the shop in the long term or not. If you are there to burn it down then go for it. But it can be good cover if you point out their mistakes (just don't be a know-it-all). It makes you look like a "nice guy" in the eyes of the pit. After all, they're faster to kick out an AP that is a bit of a dick to staff than a "nice guy" AP.
