You post too late for anyone to use/benefit from your picks. You posted at 1:03 for a 1:05 game start today.

I was eating lunch with a guy that got an Alabama bet down after their opponent (Georgia?) got a TD. So, instead of getting Alabama -13.5 he got Alabama -6.5. Alabama won by 7 so he won by 1/2 a point but if he had gotten the bet down at the start of the game he would have lost. I didn't ask if it was made at the sports book a short number of steps away but I made that assumption. Has anyone heard of getting a bet down in an in progress game like this? Brick and mortar books are new around here. It was a William Hill sportsbook in AC that was steps.

It's a good thing nobody did see that pick. Final AZ 20 GB 17. They only ones that missed that pick is the faders.

Happens all the time with in-game betting. The line is being adjusted according to the score of the game and time remaining.

Since there was a lot of humor this week in the press about Tom Brady's 1000 career rushing stat I like to chime in on two points. First I thought his career rushing stats were something like at least a negative 1000 yards for all the times he took a knee to run out the clock. Every time he does that I thought he takes a one-yard loss. Last I would like to say out of those 1000 career yards gained "I am taking a wild guess" around 800 of those plays gave the team a first down.

the early line has them 1.5 dogs to the Redskins who are now on their 3rd quarterback for the year
and he's butt fumbler Mark Sanchez
plus the Skins have many injuries
it's shaping up as an almost comical game even though the Skins are technically very much in the running for the lead in the NFL east
The Giants WERE one point dogs on the lookahead line to the Skins. They are now 3 point favorites. A FOUR point downgrade from the 2nd stringer to the 3rd stringer. Needless to say, the markets think very little of Sanchez.

It would have been better for my team if the Pats won, but I did really enjoy watching them implode despite the fact that it might knock my team out of the playoffs. I try to see the bright side in everything so if the Pats won I would have been just as happy since it helps my team get to the playoffs, well almost just as happy. LoL

It probably cost the Pats the SB. They probably won't make the SB without HFA. Not a smart coaching move.

But the rumblings now are the Raven's will win the AFC North because of another coaching blunder, sitting Rothelisberger after he got dinged up until the Steelers were behind. After watching the Raiders give the Chiefs a run for their money I thought the Raven's might beat the Chiefs and the Steelers might lose to the Raiders or both, figuring the Raiders were better than everyone gave them credit for and/or the Chiefs weren't as good as everyone thought. The Ravens took the Chiefs to overtime and had a good shot to win in regulation but lost in overtime. The Steelers lost. So it looks like both the Raiders are better than everyone thought and the Chiefs aren't as good as everyone thought.

But Rothelisberger did just enough to get my fantasy team to advance to the league semi-finals. This is my first season in fantasy football so I have made a lot of rookie mistakes but I am a fast learner. If my team didn't lose Kareem Hunt, my number 1 draft pick, I likely would have won the hole thing. I face off with the number one seed in this week's semi-finals. I am the only one to beat the number 1 seed this year. I think I will win again, but the number 2 and 3 seeds face off and they are probably the two best teams in the league. If I win against the 1 seed again, I will most likely lose in the final. But a lot can happen between now and then. Maybe I will get some good opportunities to improve my team or get lucky. I had almost the last pick in the draft so I hop up the waiver priority list pretty fast. I don't understand what mix of things they do to determine waiver priority but it is obvious that draft order figures into it. They say it is a rolling waiver priority but it doesn't seem to be that simple.

I am a big underdog in the semis but my players are big overachievers with the right matchups so my starters should put up better numbers than predicted. The number 1 seed has one really steady huge performer. Most of the rest of the team is much weaker but solid players. But they look to put up good numbers this week. It will not be an easy win but I think my guys can do it. The league is pretty big so the pickings on free agency is pretty thin. I won this week by grabbing the players my opponent needed after James Conner was ruled out and picking up a defense I didn't need but would help my opponent. The moves were the difference between winning and losing a game that was much closer than it should have been because Big Ben sat out most of the second half. But I don't think that type of move will help me this week. My opponent's team doesn't seem to have any glaring needs. I have Andrew Luck on my bench, so if Big Ben sits or is questionable I am still good to go.

Good luck to everyone else that made the semi-finals with their fantasy teams.

What do you all think about the pick for week 14, Eagles vs Rams? I am betting that the Rams would blowout the Eagles. So, either way it will eliminate the Eagles out of the playoffs in both situations where Eagles lose to the Rams, Cowboys beats the Colts or Cowboys beats the Colts and Eagles beat the Ram. To even have a string of hope, the Eagles would have to beat the Rams and Cowboys lose to the Colts.

If the Eagles goes into the games thinking that it would be easy against the Rams, they are making a big mistake!! It would be a high scoring game I am guessing.

The Eagles are playing for a wild card now. To take the division they need to win the remaining three games and have Dallas lose the remaining three games.

That's dangerous!! Because if Dallas wins even one game or the Eagles lose one it would be impossible for to make playoff. I am anticipating they would lose to the Rams. Anything could happen still, but the Rams have better odds.
