    Tiverton Hotel Casino.

The opening was at 10:00 this morning, Sept 1st. This casino is owned and managed by Twin River management group. TRMG also owns and manages Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI and The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, MS. Tiverton Hotel Casino is in Tiverton RI about 400 feet from the Massachusetts border and that is no coincidence.

There are a total of 17 blackjack tables. Four are S17 and these are considered to be the high limit tables. Minimums were $25 and $50 with a $2000 max bet. They are 6 deck, late surrender with splitting to 3 hands. No mid shoe entry is allowed at these 4 tables.

The remaining 13 tables are 3:2, H17, 8 decks and are also hand shuffled. Mid shoe entry is allowed. Minimums were $10 and $15 with a $1000 max bet. No 6:5 or machine shuffling here. Side bet is Match the Dealer.

Penetration was? Let's just say that I'm fussy about pen and I did not hesitate to sit down.

As I said, this casino is run by the same group that runs Twin River. Table games began there in 2013 and were discussed in great deal all over the internet. That's 5 years and nothing has been burned yet. In this case we're only talking about 4 tables. That's it. There's a thread on Wizard of Vegas that says more than I did here about Tiverton, even though some of it was incorrect. Are you missing something? I don't know. You tell me.

Hey man is it a different players card then the original twin river or do they use the same players card?

The new cards there say Tiverton but either will work. They were using them to buy beer and wine from dispensers if you can believe it.

I'm not sure. I used a friends Twin River card today. I don't know if a Twin River cardholder applying for a Tiverton card will be flagged by the computer. One way to find out I guess.

Great post! Send conditions to CBJN and get $7 if somebody is not already reporting on it. Al Rogers has a post on blackjackinfo on how to do it.

PS. I have no interest what so ever in this casino. They could be paying 2:1 on blackjack and I still wouldn't go.

Thanks. If even one person finds a post useful I'm happy to do it. They weren't exactly breaking down the doors to get into this place. Four blackjack tables weren't even open. We we able to drive almost to the front door at 10:00.

I get the cloak and dagger thing. I really do and it becomes quite comical at times. Again, we're talking about only 4 'good' tables that have the same rules that the Connecticut casinos have had for 25 years and have been discussed on forums for 25 years.

Most know where to draw the line on information but the line varies by location and a myriad of other factors. Some are common sense. You don't see me posting the name, description and shift of the flashing and otherwise sloppy dealers that I know of.

I've been a member of BJINFO since 2011. I don't post there much and Al doesn't know me from Adam but if he would like to use part or all of my post on another site he can feel free to do so. No charge.

If you live near this casino or plan to visit it often why don't you become a reporter for CBJN. I noticed that in the Aug issue of CBJN it mentions a reporter is needed for Rode Island. You don't have to know Al to report for CBJN. I was reporting for 5 years before I had a chance to meet Al and 8 years before meeting Stanford Wong.

Subside question but, for how many years have you been into the CC business ?
Wayne Gretzky once said that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Life’s too short for regrets.

I'm not all that close. The only time I would be is when I'm on Cape Cod and nobody goes there after Labor Day.

The age to enter a casino and gamble in Rhode Island is 18. The age to buy and consume alcohol is 21. It keeps authorities on their toes especially with the self serve beer and wine taps at this casino.

Opening weekend was interesting! The nighttime crowd was busy. There were no empty blackjack seats. I recognized a few of the floor people they borrowed or transferred from Twin River (I hope they didn't recognize me!).The dealers were super slow, but hopefully that will get better with experience. I laughed when the dealer and floor had no idea what paying even money on a blackjack meant (the second floor person helped out on this. The chip rack was pretty light on high denomination chips. It was a $25 table with only about 4K in black, and 1K in green, no purple chips or orange chips. The do have Spanish 21 tables.

What were the minimums on the S17 tables when you were there? Two of them were $50 at 10 AM but were lowered to $25 by 11.

On Sunday night, I waited for the last empty blackjack table to open. It started as a $10 table (it took them awhile to notice). Then it went to $15.

Later I moved to a $25 table. Both were 3:2. Hit on soft 17.
