Resurrecting an old thread, but didn't want to make a new one for a garbage spot.

Played the $25 6D 3-2 ASM table today. Lost 60 units in about two hours. Was up ~10 units briefly but went down and never came close to being back up. I will never ever play another ASM again. The running count never once got beyond +7 / -7, and I finally walked away when I realized an entire shoe was being dealt (2-9) (2-9) (10/A), repeat. Two numbered cards, one ten/ace. Over and over and over again without a single deviation. Through the entire session the only time I was able to split was when I was dealt five aces in a row, which I split to four hands.

    Random shuffle my ass.

And $13.00 for five meatballs in a bowl and a bottle of water is far beyond my taste.

I will offer one compliment: the entire facility appeared to be smoke-free. I liked that a ton.

RC +7 with one or two decks left is pretty good.

let the math guys work out the odds of never going over true 2 . i had many sessions with 6deck that went on for many shoes without true 2 . i was playing heads up . it could easily been 6,7 shoes if not more .

MGM Resorts International has been in talks with Wynn Resorts to buy the Encore Boston Harbor Casino. The talks, which have been ongoing for some time, were finally confirmed by both parties yesterday. Springfield officials are uneasy, to say the least, because if the sale takes place MGM could no longer operate there. Massachusetts law allows only one casino license per company. Encore, which is actually in Everett, is scheduled to open in just over a month. This could get interesting.

Second this. Springfield is a much better location to travel to than Boston, I’d imaging.

Under the host community agreement the City of Everette would have to agree to any sale, which the mayor said yesterday he would not.

I have been told by those in the know that the pit / surveillance moves quickly to 86' card counters at $25 tables and up.

There's been some speculation that the Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods consortium in CT might be interested in buying the Springfield MGM. That would freeup MGM to buy the Wynn property in Everett. And it eliminates the need for a casino in Windsor CT which was being built to blunt the Springfield competition. As I said, it's all speculation but it makes for some interesting discussions.

The most important thing i read was the last sentence of the article.

If they’re going to lose 500 million to get rid of Springfield, hows that going to work out for their shareholders?

Just as long as you understand the 86ing is not official at that initial time. Under Massachusetts law, the casinos can only make referrals to the State Gaming Commission for the desire to exclude a player. After a hearing, takes place by an agent of MGC, he/she will make a recommendation to the full Commission and then a final decision will be made. Only the state itself does the excluding. Much of this depends on defining the term "cheating" which is not clarified in the states Gaming Regulations. There is also this line:

"(e) the individual's presence in a gaming establishment presents the potential of injurious threat to the interests of the Commonwealth in a gaming establishment."
