I have seen it referred to "Hartford-Springfield", although I admit is almost always known as Bradley or Hartford. But it is equal distance from Hartford and Springfield. And my response was to someone stating that there was no airport in Springfield. And, door to door, it is probably about 20 minutes from the airport to the MGM.

In the pit with the 4 NMSE $25 tables, the house is in the process of converting 4 other non-blackjack tables to $ 50 NMSE blackjack tables.

In this day in age, it's nice to see someone adding more good tables.

Went to the MGM Springfield today. Was invited to a event hosted by a business equipment group. Was just there to check it out.

I walked the casino coming in and leaving. Did not gamble, but did check out the tables as I was leaving, and watched for about 10 minutes. There did seem to be Surrender (late). I thought I had read that there was no surrender. This was at the $25 table. I didn't really check out the $15 tables.

Seemed to be well played by the dealer. There were too many side bets (I'm sure sucker bets), that were hard to keep track of or understand. I like a simple game. Changing decks went smoothly - and there seemed to be a good cut.

That includes a $3000 contribution from Mr. Tom Hyland. 8^) You win money, they kick you out. You lose money, and they still kick you out!

I have read that the MGM is adding $10 blackjack tables. Can I assume that these won't have the 3-2 blackjack payoffs and related better terms?

The PA rules are available at both Connecticut casinos if your minimum bet is $50. They are at MGM Springfield for $25 minimums and you can resplit aces. Hard Rock AC has PA rules starting at $25 minimums. Yes, they are the only AC property offering late surrender without asking.

There are 2 large pits of $10 tables there now. All are 6:5 and are dealt from CSMs. One of the 6:5 pits was open today around noon and all the tables had $15 minimums. I've seen some of them go to $25 as they probably will tonight. The lowest 3:2 tables are $25 minimums until it gets busy. I'd be surprised if they added more tables as they can't fill the ones they have until the weekend.
