Just to be clear, I'm not saying the card had anything to do with the b/o. I'm saying it's an ineffective form of camo.

Yeah it might not be the only thing you need, but I believe it cannot hurt.

But you won't be following what the card says. That isn't good cover. It can be the opposite. You aren't looking stupid when you don't follow the BS strategy in front of you. You are looking smart.

I've seen many a ploppy not follow the card, and more often than not, the card isn't for the correct rules anyway.

It comes down to if they want to find a reason to decide you shouldn't be allowed to play they will. If they are looking for a reason to let you play you should help them find one. A rouse that insults their intelligence usually doesn't help them make this distinction in a way that favors what you would like to see happen. There is a lot of fairly cheap cover that makes it easy to defend a decision to let you play if they have to further down the line. Saying the BS strategy card fooled them might get someone fired. I would find better ways to have cover than that when the time comes that you need and can afford cover play. I guess in the meantime a BS card costs almost nothing for what little cover it buys. There is two types of cover. One is to help prevent your play from being reviewed. The other is for your play to pass a review. For the former it probably helps.

Some do say the total, some don't. When they do, I don't trust them anyways.

However sometimes if I have a tough hand, say a 7 card hand and am a bit stuck, I'll say "uhhh what is that?" For reassurance, as I make sure I have the count then verify their total.

How refreshing! 20 posts, and someone actually answered the original question. You may now all go back to 20 more posts that will have nothing to do with the original question.

    Don
The thread slightly deviated to camouflage but somehow it's not uninteresting haha
What's your usage Don ? You better like the dealer to shut up on total and you do everything yourself, or you rather focus on your card-counting strategy and let him do the hand-counting work ?

That's post number 1 that has nothing to do with the question.

You might notice that this is Letang's thread and he continued to ask questions which we continued to answer and his initial question was answered several times before the answer you quoted.

I'm sorry maybe it's not the way I should do ? I don't feel like opening multiples threads ... Usually it's not seen very well by forumers...

Don just believes differently than almost everyone else here. But we love him anyway. I think it is ironically funny when he adds an off topic post complaining about people making off topic posts.
