    Any 'fishcakes' who would like to play backgammon;
    for moderately high stakes, say $100 / point ... ?

    I suggest that you ask Munchkin, or his brother about
    how much you would probably lose to me in the course of a day.
    I know them both, though I haven't played with Jake or Munch
    in a very long time.

    Then why don't you start a thread to brag about your backgammon prowess since that was your intent all along.

    Nothing to brag about. I am a sub-1800 rated player. That is an ELO rating in Chess of ?

    Chess is a simple game relative to Backgammon, which is a game that is dependent

    upon compound probabilities, etc. rather than the ability to see X moves into the future

    along varying paths.

    5,000 yrs. after its birth, only NEURAL NETS can play at a true Expert Level.

    It is a favored game of actuaries and mathematicians, etc.

    Backgammon Tournaments look like a faculty meeting at MIT. LOL

    My purpose was to counter absurd notions that backgammon is a child's game.

    Using the betting cube is what takes backgammon to a higher level. Knowing the probabilities is also what separates the pros from the amateurs.
