    Double deck and Knock Out

Does anyone use KO when playing DD? If so, you up bets at +5 (assuming starting at 0) or you increase at a different number?

Use CVCX software to set up your betting ramp to your need as well as to your game.
You may also apply the betting ramp suggested in the book of Modern Blackjack I.

yes--I use KO, but I follow Daniel Dravot's "The Color of Blackjack" which uses the "true" KO count simplified to a system where you do not need to actually calculate true counts. In DD, with starting count at zero, you can raise your bet at +4 after 0.5 decks dealt, +5 at 1 deck, +6 at 1.25 decks and at 7 if you can see 1.5 decks dealt. Your big bet still is at 8 no matter how much has been dealt. This approach allows you to get more money out earlier sometimes, and then less later when your advantage is not what you assume using KO.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
