Weird shuffling on El Cortez Double Deck (Video)

In the above video, move to the 18:00 mark. After the 18:00 mark, at some point, the dealer takes the shoe and empties it, shuffles, and has the player cut before the cut-card is reached.

    Any reason as to why?

You know, I watched this video when it first came out just to count along and pretend I was playing for practice.

I noticed this as well when I saw it, and was wondering the same thing

I can't think of any reason to shuffle then. Maybe the dealer was just very nervous about the camera and had a brain fart. The count was neutral and the number of rounds wasn't even appropriate for shuffling on single deck. Idk.

RC was +1b so -1 after ace adjustment and basically a neutral TC.

My guess is it was just a silly dealer mistake.
